Treats
What does freeze dried raw mean?
These treats are created using a gentle freeze dry process that removes moisture while preserving all of their natural nutritional properties. They are freeze dried in their raw form — and because there is no moisture after the freeze dry process— they become shelf stable when sealed in their bag.
How many treats are in a bag?
While light in weight and small in size: 2oz of freeze-dried meat is equivalent to about half a pound of non-freeze dried meat! Each bag has around 250 treats per bag.
Where are these treats made?
Made in the USA. Our ingredients are sourced in the USA and freeze-dried in an FDA and SQF certified facility in Indiana. Every batch of our treats are tested by independent laboratories before they are shipped to your pet.
Where are your proteins sourced from?
We source USDA human grade proteins in the Mid West region of the United States.
How are your treats safe from bird flu and other pathogens?
There are multiple steps we take to ensure your freeze dried treats are of the safest quality.
1) FDA & SQF Food Safety Certification: Our manufacturer is an FDA & SQF approved facility that get routine inspections to get certified every year. Having both certifications is one of the highest level of good manufacturing practices in this industry.
2) Premium USDA Human Grade Protein Sourcing: We source human grade USDA proteins, where every carcass is inspected prior to leaving the facility.
3) Kill Step Process: We have a kill step heating process that happens right after the treats finish freeze drying. The entire treat batch is then heated to 76°C for five minutes to kill off bird flu and other pathogens. Please note that according to the USDA, CDC, and WHO - heating proteins to an internal temperature of 74°C kills of avian flu, salmonella, and other pathogens.
4) Hold and Release Testing: Every batch is sent to a Midwest Laboratories, a third party testing facility, to test for salmonella, listeria, and ecoli prior to packaging the products.
Can humans eat these treats?
No. While we source the most premium "Human-grade" ingredients in the USA, these treats are meant to only be eaten by our pets.
My treats look different than what I see online?
It is perfectly normal to have a slight variation in color and shape with what you get vs. what you see in the photo. If you think there is something wrong with your treats please, take a photo and contact us at help@snaggletoothpets.com.
How should I store your treats?
Our bag comes with a convenient resealable zip lock bag to maintain freshness. Once open, it is best to feed within 45 days after the package is opened. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate.
Why are your treats crumbly?
It is perfectly normal for freeze dried treats have crumbs on the bottom - save the "yummy dust" to mix in with your pet's food!
We also intentionally chose to have them this way. We wanted our treats to be truly single ingredient and have no additives such as binders that help solidified treats. Additionally, we wanted to give a softer treat option for our feline friends or pets without teeth to have a premium treat option to safely eat.
The small 3/8inch dice with the smaller animal proteins like chicken liver and duck liver are more delicate. We recommend our beef liver treats if you want something with less crumbs and are more structurally solid.

Shipping
How long will it take to ship my order?
All orders are hand packed by our founders Meagan & Korra and will be shipped out within 1-3 business days after placing your order. We ship domestically via USPS and depending on your shipping method and shipping address, will arrive anywhere between 1-2 weeks.
Which orders quality for free shipping?
Orders over $30 qualify for free domestic USPS ground shipping.
Do you ship internationally?
Due to restrictions with shipping treat products out of the USA, we don’t currently offer international shipping, but we hope to in the future! Please let us know which country you’d like us to ship to at help@snaggletoothpets.com.
Refunds & Returns
What is your 30-day guarantee?
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your treats, we’ll exchange your product or issue you a full refund, as long as you contact us within 30 days. Please send your request to help@snaggletoothpets.com.
Note: for non-treat items, we will subtract a $7 restocking fee from your refund.
How can I cancel my order?
Uh-Oh, accidents happen. To cancel your order please email us and help@snaggletoothpets.com within 2 hours of placing your order and include your order number and email address you used to place the order and we will help you out.
